We strive to keep the length of hospital stays as brief and comfortable as possible. During hospital hours your pet is under constant supervision with monitoring of vital functions, medications, food and water. We have separate wards for general hospitalization, surgery, intensive care (with oxygen cages and IV fluid delivery machines), and isolation. Our isolation ward is its own miniature hospital, containing everything a potentially contagious pet would need for care, negating unnecessary trips in and out, which may spread disease. Isolation also has a negative airflow to further prevent contamination of the rest of the facility.

"We have had such great treatment of our dog, Maggie at River Ridge, even when we've called during off hours. From the doctors, office staff, groomers, boarding and daycare staff, everyone has been friendly and professional. Our dog loves to go there and we feel confident that she is getting the best care from everyone."
Many of the same problems that affect people as they age, such as arthritis and diabetes, can also affect your pet. Making a few changes to the way you care for your furry friend will help you ensure that your pet stays healthy and happy as the years go by.
